In the scenario
of ever increasing petroleum prices in international market, Planning
Commission, Govt. of India launched "National Mission on Biodiesel" With a
view to find cheap and renewable liquid fuel based on vegetable oils. The
report of "National Mission on Biodiesel" was submitted in the year 2003
identifying jatropha (Ratanjot) as the proper oil-seed
